Information you provide to us
When you use our Services, you may provide certain information directly to us. For example, when you register for an account with Vanta, we require that you provide us with certain information. The types of information that we collect will depend on the type of account you have, but generally includes information such as your first and last name, email, phone number, location information, age, school name, gamer skill level, gamer’s in-game name, schedule conflicts, coach and friend requests, t-shirt size, how you heard about us, and birthdate.
When you communicate or interact with other users, you may provide content and information such as messages. Other users will also see your certain profile information. Keep in mind that users that you communicate with may, in some cases, be able to save that content or copy it outside of the Services, so don’t send messages or share content that you wouldn’t want another user to save or share.
We collect information when you communicate with us. The specific types of information we collect will depend on the in which you communicate with us. For example, if you send us an email, we will collect your email address and the content of your email. We also collect other information such as date and time of communication.

We use third parties to assist us with operating our business and providing our Services, such as our technology vendors that help us maintain our Services and partners that assist us with our marketing and communication. We may also share your Personal Data with our subsidiaries and/or affiliates for purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy. Our subsidiaries and affiliates will be bound to maintain that Personal Data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Except as otherwise provided in this Policy, we share information with companies, organizations or individuals outside of Vanta only at your direction or when we have your consent to do so.
· Purchases
If you make a purchase, such as customized avatars and other additional Services for your account or registering for a paid event, we will collect financial information from you(e.g., your credit card number and expiration date, billing address, account information for online payment providers like PayPal, etc.), some of which may constitute Personal Data. If you use our payment processing Services, for example, to offer or receive prize money, we will collect financial information from you (e.g., your bank account information, an address to send checks, account information for online payment providers like Paypal, etc.) as necessary to facilitate payments and information required for tax purposes(e.g., your taxpayer identification number). We do not store payment details; transactions are processed by third-party payment providers in compliance with their policies.
· Legal Proceedings
We may share information with third party companies, organizations, governmental authorities, or individuals outside of Vanta if we have a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to:

We may share information about you as part of a merger or acquisition. If Vanta Development Group, Inc. is involved in a merger, asset sale, financing, liquidation or bankruptcy, or acquisition of all or some portion of our business to another company, we may share your information with that company before and after the transaction closes. CHOICES ABOUT YOUR INFORMATION
We strive to provide you with choices with respect to your information. Also remember, you can opt not to disclose certain information to us - but keep in mind some information may be needed to create a Vanta account or to take advantage of some of our Services and features.
Modification and Access to Your Information
In some cases, you can access and modify your information through our Services. If you would like to modify or access additional information that is not available through our Services, please contact us at support@vanta.gg. We may ask you to verify your identity or provide additional information before we act on your request. We may reject or deny requests for certain reasons, such as when we believe a request is fraudulent.
Deleting Your Information or Your Account
In some cases, you can delete your information through our Services. You may also request deletion by contacting us at support@vanta.gg. Please note that in some cases we may be prohibited from deleting certain information (we will let you know in those situations, and some information may remain in our records after your deletion of such information from your account. We may use any aggregated or de-identified data derived from or incorporating your information after you update or delete it, but not in a manner that would identify you personally.
Marketing
You may unsubscribe from Vanta marketing communications at any time by following the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any such communication. Most promotional communications will also offer recipients choices about receiving additional messages.
INTERNATIONAL TRANSFER
We are based in the United States, and our Services are hosted there. If you are using our Services from another country, the laws governing our collection and use of information may be different from thel aws of your country. If you decide to use our Services, or share your information with us, you are agreeing to be governed by the laws of the United States, and agree to the transfer of your information to the United States.
CHILDREN
· Compliance with COPPA
We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) by ensuring that we do not collect, use, or share personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental or school consent. Student data is only used for educational purposes and is never shared for advertising, marketing, or commercial gain. We implement strict security measures to protect children’s information and allow parents and schools to review, update, or request deletion of a child’s data at any time.
We provide further privacy protections with respect to Personal Data we may collect from children. We operate in full compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act(COPPA) and take the following additional steps to protect children’s privacy when we intend to collect their personal information to ensure parents, legal guardians, and authorized teachers (collectively “guardians”) have the ability to safely engage with Vanta:
If you are under the age of 13 and wish to use our Services, a guardian must create an account on your behalf and supervise your use of the Services. If you are under age 13 and your guardian has not created an account on your behalf and is not supervising your use of the Services, please do not attempt to use our Services or send any information about yourself to us. If you are the guardian of a child under the age of13, and you believe he or she has shared information with us, or have any concerns about your child’s Personal Data, please contact us at support@vanta.gg.
STUDENT DATA PRIVACY PRINCIPLES
We process Student Data only to provide and improve our Services, as outlined in our Privacy Policy, or with consent. We do not use Student Data for targeted ads and disable third-party ad tracking in Scholastic League areas. Personal student profiles are created only for school-related purposes, such as esports stats, unless authorized. Our security program protects Student Data, and we remain transparent about our data practices. We will never sell Student Data unless the sale is part of a corporate transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or other sale of assets, in which case we will require the new owner to continue to honor the terms provided in this Privacy Policy.
· Compliance with FERPA
We comply with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) by ensuring that schools, parents,a nd eligible students retain control over student education records. Student data is only used for educational purposes and is never sold or shared for advertising or commercial use. We provide schools and parents with access to student records, allow corrections upon request, and ensure secure deletion when no longer needed. We implement strict security measures to protect student information and require consent before disclosing personally identifiable information, except as permitted by law.
· Compliance with California SOPIPA(SB 1177)
We comply with the Student Online Personal Information Protection Act (SOPIPA, SB 1177) by safeguarding student data and ensuring it is only used for educational purposes. We do not sell student information, use it for targeted advertising, or create personal profiles beyond what is necessary for school-related activities. We implement strict security measures to protect student data and allow schools, parents, and students to access, correct, and delete records as needed. In case of a data breach, we provide timely notification to the affected school.
· Compliance with California AB 1584
We comply with California Assembly Bill 1584 (AB 1584) by ensuring that schools retain ownership and control over student records. Student data is only used to provide and improve our educational services and is never sold or used for targeted advertising. We implement strict security measures to protect student information and allow schools, parents, and students to access, review, and request corrections to their data. Upon termination of service or request from a school, we securely delete student records. In the event of a data breach, we will promptly notify the affected school.
SECURITY OF YOUR INFORMATION
We use reasonable security measures, including measures designed to protect against unauthorized or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage to your information. We also take certain measures to enhance the security of our Services, however, since the Internet is not a 100% secure environment, we cannot guarantee, ensure, or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us. There is no guarantee that information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards. It is your responsibility to protect the security of your login information.
THIRD PARTY WEBSITES AND SERVICES
Our Services may contain links to other websites and services operated by third parties, and may include social media features such as Twitch and Instagram buttons or links. These third-party websites and Services may collect information about you if you click on a link or visit those websites or services, and the social media sites may automatically record information about your browsing behavior every time you visit a website that has a social media button. Your interactions with these features and third parties are governed by the privacy policy of the third party, not by this Policy.
