Vanta Leagues Announces Partnership with NECC

July 15, 2021

Boston, Mass. - Vanta Leagues is proud to announce it has recently agreed to a partnership with The National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC). The NECC began sponsoring esports in the fall of 2020 and the conference currently sponsors both regular season competition and championships across a wide variety of titles. The conference aims to serve the gaming community with respect and is proud to be a safe and inclusive environment. With more than 100 colleges and universities currently competing in the conference, the NECC strives to be a positive home for the collegiate gaming community.

“Vanta is thrilled to partner with the NECC. Both organizations share the mission to serve the gaming community and build with respect, safety and inclusivity,” said CEO Pat Cronin. “We can’t wait to kickoff our partnership with the NECC and continue growing the esports ecosystem together!”

“We’re excited to partner with Vanta Leagues,” said NECC Commissioner Jacob VanRyn. “The mission behind what they do aligns very similarly with a number of our efforts in terms of providing an extremely positive experience to provide competitive esports opportunities. We’re very much looking forward to working with Vanta in a variety of ways to help enhance the mission of their organization, as well as continue to enhance the opportunities available for their players and community, as well as for ours.”

Vanta Leagues recently kicked off it’s inaugural esports season, running youth leagues in Rocket League, League of Legends, and Valorant. These leagues are led by trained, expert coaches who execute a player development program focused on in-game development, as well as leadership and teamwork. Vanta runs 4 leagues over the course of the year and just opened pre-registrations for their Fall ‘21 season!

The NECC recently surpassed 100 schools within its membership. The conference’s fall semester is scheduled to begin in September and the conference will be offering full season competition across five titles: League of Legends, Overwatch, Rainbow Six Siege, Rocket League, and Valorant.

Once again, this year, the NECC will be streaming its game play five nights per week (Monday through Friday). More than seven million people watched NECC action during the 2020-21 academic year.
